Classes
Classes are held in the evening once per week and clinicals are available throughout the week to meet the needs of those who require flexibility and to allow accommodation for any schedule. Upon completion of this program, students will become knowledgeable, confident, certified Dental Assistants ready to launch their new careers!

At age 33, I was scared to death that I wouldn’t catch on or get it but I was gonna give it all I had. I was gonna make it work not only for myself, but for my kids. The program was to my schedule. Britani was always just a call or text away. Britani had it set up for me to start clinicals, and thanks to the classes and program, I learned a lot before going into the office. I have had the pleasure of getting to meet a bunch of wonderful people. It has been an amazing journey! I have learned so much and was offered a job immediately upon graduation. I think it’s amazing because 3 months ago I knew nothing about the dental field and now here I am working full time at a dental office. I couldn’t have done it with out the help of my teacher, Britani, and Southern Dental Assisting Academy. I have gained a new friend and family. If anyone were to ask me today if they should take a dental assistant class, I would say yes -100%! It was the best thing I could have done. "This course was an amazing experience. Even though I started 2 weeks behind, and have a million other things going on as a working single mom, Britani was extremely accommodating to my needs in order to complete the course.
I have always been interested in the dental field. Since I started working at the post office almost 20 years ago, another coworker and I have always talked about going back to school to become a hygienist and we just put it off. Honestly the income with the post office is wonderful, but the flexibility and set hours with dental assisting and the ability for growth and expansion is worth the trade off.
This class was easy to follow. It was perfect. I wouldn't change a thing about it. I love the energy. Britani is a great teacher/leader!

"Southern Dental Assisting Academy has been a tremendous help when it comes to Dental Assisting. At first, I was worried about spending the money when I was mainly interested in Orthodontics. I am very glad that I decided to take this class. It is on zoom and class is only once a week so it was very convenient with my work schedule. We were able to work out clinicals on my off day and that was a huge Help. Britani scheduled me to observe at an Orthodontic Office and General Dental office so that I was able to get the best of both worlds. There is no way I would be able to get the job I was wanting without Britani's help. She put her time and experience in the dental field into her lessons and wanted to make sure we were understanding everything. I am very thankful for that. The clinicals that we got to do weekly were a big deal. They helped me to learn by doing visual and hands-on tasks while also getting to see how everything in the workplace flows. This has been very successful for me so far. I have been doing clinicals and observing at a General Dentist's office the past several weeks and actually have an interview tomorrow, as soon as I finished the class! Overall I am so so thankful for this learning experience, it has been so beneficial for me and Britani did a great job!"

Experience
Owner, Britani Zimmermann, has been in the dental field for almost a decade, serving in various dental positions including: Lead Dental Assistant, DA Trainer, Sterilization Technician, Administration, Dental Insurance, DA Instructor, Private Practice, Corporate Dentistry, and Hospital Dentistry in both General Dentistry, as well as all specialties.
